The Flobots are an underground rock/rap group from Denver, Colorado and in my opinion are one the most under rated musical acts of our generation. Their songs are not only ridiculously catchy (which you can discover for yourself by clicking here) but they serve a purpose. In a world where most music exists solely for entertainment purposes Flobot's have a definite agenda. It doesn't take long after listening to their music to realize that it has actual substance. The Flobots' music demands change. Change in human ideals, in our implementation of religion, and in the way our government acts. Their latest single is a call for peace.The hook of"White Flag Warrior"declares "We'd rather make our children martyrs than murderers." No matter how you personally feel about the state of our government or the war currently being fought, I hope you can at least respect a group of individuals that are making music with a purpose. If you can't find any respect for the message then just focus on the music. The band primarily consists of a basic set up. A drummer, bassist, guitarist, vocals, and viola which really gives their music a distinct presence, but aside from that they also incorporate brass, woodwinds, and other instruments from time to time. It's refreshing to hear a band that actually creates music instead of putting a boring auto-tuned melody over a recycled hip-hop beat.
